The Florida Everglades is about as
back country as it gets. We have to bring our own water and food and protect it
with our lives. Its very hard and very stressful but then there are those small
things that make the trip worthwhile. There are wild dolphins that are so
playful they come right up to your canoe and show off. It is so entertaining. You
can’t get a show like that at sea world. It’s a once in a lifetime experience
and I was lucky enough to be able to see it. My most favorite part of the whole
trip though is staying at a beach site and sitting around a campfire. There’s something
about fires that makes you feel so secure and all your worries and thoughts are
at ease. It is so relaxing and to be on an island with white sand just makes it
so much better. I’m so incredibly grateful to say that I as able to do all
these things.
